Job Information

Overview:

Candidates should possess excellent mechanical building services design engineering skills. Candidates would manage a team of designers and draftsmen to produce tender drawings for client consulting engineers who are stationed in Canada or U.A.E.

Technical Knowledge:

Engineers shall be familiar with the design of building systems for commercial, institutional, high-rise residential, industrial projects.

Mechanical engineers will work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors in HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and fire protection systems.

Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Work independently with limited supervision after receiving specific guidelines, industry standards, codes and specifications from a foreign office / client design team.

Engineers should be familiar with NFPA and ASHRAE standards.

Engineers tasks may include creating mechanical system schematics, carrying out heating and cooling load calculations, routing and sizing ductwork and piping, laying out central plant mechanical rooms.

Work quickly and efficiently while paying attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree
A low level of AutoCAD knowledge is required to supervise AutoCAD draftsmen and designers.
3 to 10 years experience in building systems design of office buildings, high rise residential, hotels, laboratories, hospitals, pharmaceuticals & telecommunications switch centers a plus.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong English written and verbal communications skills required.
